FUNDRAISING PROJECT - R350k
Seating - Pool, Tennis & Fields
- FUNDRAISING GOAL – R350k 35%
The Seating Upgrade Project aims to improve comfort, accessibility, and spectator experience across our pool, tennis courts, and rugby fields. This includes the introduction of moveable benches made from durable, recycled plastic, allowing seating to be positioned where it’s needed most for fixtures, training sessions, and events. In addition, this same style of terraced seating will be built into the banks of the fields, similar to the stepped, grassed spectator banks shown, creating natural viewing areas that blend seamlessly into the landscape. These banked seating areas provide clear sightlines, safe footing, and a relaxed spectator experience, while remaining low-maintenance and environmentally responsible. Together, these upgrades will create welcoming, practical spaces for families, supporters, and visitors, while supporting sustainability and long-term use.

Grade 7 Leavers' Dance & Legacy Gift
- FUNDRAISING GOAL – R150k 66.6%
The Grade 7s are getting ready for their final year at Umhlali Prep, and with it comes two very special goals: hosting a memorable Grade 7 farewell dance and leaving behind a meaningful legacy gift for the school. To make this happen, the Grade 7 families will be rolling out a series of fun fundraising events throughout the year, including a raffle, Stake Your Claim, a Camp Out and a Ladies Night. Every ticket bought, every square claimed and every event supported helps these learners celebrate the end of their primary school journey while giving something lasting back to the school that has shaped them.

Upgraded Grade R Play Area
- FUNDRAISING GOAL – R250k 30%
Right now, our Grade R play area doesn’t do justice to the children who deserve it most.
Worn surfaces, muddy patches in wet weather, and little shelter from the rain mean our youngest learners are often kept inside — missing out on the outdoor time that’s vital for their physical and emotional development. We want to change that, for good.
What we’re building
Wet pour rubber surfacing & Artificial grass
A soft, shock-absorbing surface that cushions falls, protects little knees, and keeps children safe no matter how enthusiastically they play—low maintenance and highly durable.
Covered roof structure
A solid shelter so outdoor play continues, rain or shine—no more cancelled play sessions on rainy days or sun-scorched afternoons.
