JUNIOR PRIMARY PHYSICAL EDUCATION EDUCATOR (SGB Position)
Commencing January 2025

We are looking for someone to join our dynamic School and growing Sports Department.

The ideal candidate would be a team player dedicated to providing an excellent and professional service to the School and pupils.

Applicants would need the following personal attributes:

  • A friendly and approachable demeanour, a positive, cheerful disposition and a ‘’can do’’ attitude. An enthusiasm for teamwork is essential.
  • An ability to take initiative, and responsibility for tasks, and be accountable as needed.
  • A methodical and organised approach to work.
  • An ability to be adaptable and think on their feet.
  • An ability to work as part of a larger Sports Team of 12 within a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to be very physically active – as the job requires.
  • Ability to work with Grade R – 3 Junior Primary children.
  • Knowledge of CAPS Curriculum Necessary

Qualifications and skills would include:

    • At least 2 years’ experience teaching Physical Education.
    • SACE Registration.
    • Teaching Diploma/ Degree.
    • Experience in netball/ hockey/ swimming or water polo coaching or administration would be highly sought after.
    • A valid and up-to-date Police clearance certificate.
    • Strong administrative and computer skills essential.
    • SOCS sports management experience highly sought after.
    • Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with the Sports Department team members, the pupils, parents and staff.

The competitive salary package will be based on qualifications and previous teaching experience.
