SENIOR PRIMARY PHYSICAL EDUCATION EDUCATOR (SGB Position)
Commencing January 2025

We are looking for someone to join our dynamic School and growing Sports Department.

The ideal candidate would be a team player dedicated to providing an excellent and professional service to the School and pupils.

Applicants would need the following personal attributes:

  • A friendly, approachable demeanour, a positive, cheerful disposition and a ‘’can do’’ attitude. An enthusiasm for teamwork is essential.
  • The ability to take initiative, and responsibility for tasks, and be accountable as needed.
  • Have a methodical and organised approach to work.
  • An ability to be adaptable and think on their feet.
  • An ability to work as part of a larger Sports Team of 12 within a dynamic environment.
  • A willingness to be very physically active – as the job requires.
  • Ability to work with Grade 4 – 7 Senior Primary Girls
  • Knowledge of the CAPS Curriculum

Necessary qualifications and skills would include:

  • At least 2 years experience teaching Physical Education.
  • SACE Registration.
  • Teaching Diploma/ Degree.
  • Experience in netball/water polo/hockey coaching or administration would be highly beneficial.
  • A valid and up-to-date Police clearance certificate.
  • Strong administrative and computer skills are essential.
  • SOCS sports management experience is highly beneficial.
  • Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with the Sports Department team members, the pupils, parents and staff.

The competitive salary package will be based on qualifications and previous teaching experience.
