Senior Preparatory Sports
Grades 4-7
Our Team Culture is inclusive, transparent, and purpose-driven and must demonstrate ‘ubuntu’.
The approach to Senior Preparatory sport transitions from parental involvement to Umhlali Staff assuming full responsibility for the holistic development of children and athletes.
The coaching model is skills-based with some conditioning being taken care of by an industry specialist. Coaches implement coaching techniques, thereby separating conditioning and skills and ensuring all-round development.
The coaching style is encouraging, engaging and positive. Children feel safe to speak up and to be heard. Coaches are encouraged to talk less and ask more questions.
